This is an example of portfolio detail

The images here show my contribution to my fourth-year design project which was described in the previous section of this website. My role was designing the power detector circuit and developing the firmware - check out my Github repo. After doing extensive research, I decided on selecting the LT5537 for the power detector due to its availability, price, frequency range, and because it is a logarithmic amplifier; these types of amplifiers have a simple input-output relationship which makes things a little easier.

I created a log-linear equation using the datasheet of the LT5537 and ran simple LTspice simulations to verify this relationship.

The schematic and PCB was designed using Altium. PCBs were manufactured by JLCPCB and I soldered all the components onto the board myself.
